AdMental
This brief was a live client brief, given to my peers & I during our Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design. We were tasked with the development of an A3 poster & 1080x1080 social media tile for the 2024 AdMental event. The focus for the poster was ‘Film Meets Mental Health’ & the tone and feel needed to be positive and uplifting.
When I was initially sketching this idea, I was envisioning the lightbulb as being that ‘lightbulb moment’ when you have a new idea, or a new awareness of something. The lightbulb is somewhat of a metaphor of the brain, which is constantly working to create new thoughts and ideas. I felt like the film strip leading to the lightbulb gave the sense of AdMental’s advertisements being a pathway or avenue into increased awareness into mental health. The brain, pictured in the center of the lightbulb, is attached with Neurons, to further tie together the lightbulb/brain idea.
At the end of this project, we were required to present the final piece to the client. From this presentation, I was lucky enough to be offered an opportunity to work with Louise Pascale of MHCSA, doing their Mental Health Month Campaign in 2024!
